Import notice for Qlik Cloud OAuth customers

This important note has been added to the QSDA Help QCS - Qlik Cloud Connection

Important note: If “Use Qlik Login” is unchecked then a userid matching the OAuth name (“QSDA” in sample above) will be used for the connection. If this userid is not assigned a license QSDA analysis will utilize your tenant’s capacity minutes. This may result in unexpected unavailability or extra charges in your tenant. It is highly recommend to either assign a license or check “Use Qlik Login”.

What this means: This only applies if you are using OAuth in your QSDA QCS connection. If you check on “Use Qik Login” each user will be required to login and all interaction between QSDA and your Qlik Cloud tenant will be done using the logged in user. This user should have an assigned Analyzer or Professional license.

If you leave “Use Qlik Login” unchecked, the userid will be the value in the “Name” field of the OAuth client definition. Qllk will automatically create a new User matching this name. It may not be obvious that you need to manually assign an Analyzer or Professional license to this user. If you do not, QSDA activities will utilize capacity minutes which may not be desirable.

I am looking into a way to automatically warn you if a license is not assigned to the OAuth User.
